Embedded Software Integrator (F/M)

📢 We’re hiring – Embedded Software Integrator

Join our In-Orbit Services (IOS) team, where innovation meets space exploration. We design and deliver advanced avionics software for satellites and are seeking an Embedded Software Integrator to secure end-to-end integration, testing and quality of embedded software deliveries .

More than a pipeline or tooling specialist, we’re looking for someone who understands how software is used in the avionics environment : what needs to be tested, how deliveries are accepted by AIT and operations, and how to ensure traceability and confidence in each release.

🚀 What you’ll do

• Drive Functional Integration for Avionics

  • Define and maintain integration and test strategies for embedded software releases.

  • Ensure that integration workflows reflect real project needs (what must be tested, under which configurations, with which acceptance criteria).

• Own Test & Validation Activities

  • Specify, organise and execute functional and regression test campaigns on avionics benches.

  • Coordinate anomaly detection, investigation and follow-up with software developers, system engineers and AIT.

• Ensure Traceable & Reliable Deliveries

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver embedded software to AIT and operations on schedule.

  • Maintain clear traceability between requirements, tests and delivered versions.

• Guard Quality & Compliance

  • Define and follow quality gates for software releases (reviews, test coverage, non-regression criteria, acceptance status).

  • Contribute to the application of relevant standards (ECSS).

• Contribute to Technical Documentation & Support

  • Write and maintain test procedures, integration guides and delivery notes.

  • Support AIT and operations teams in understanding software behaviour, known limitations and operational recommendations.

🧠 What we’re looking for

• 5–10 years of experience in software integration, validation or quality assurance in complex technical environments (ideally embedded or avionics).

• Strong ability to connect system / functional requirements with concrete test cases and acceptance criteria.

• Solid understanding of software development and test processes (unit, integration, system, regression, acceptance).

• Experience working with hardware-in-the-loop environments or strong appetite to ramp up quickly.

• Ability to read and understand technical logs and code-level issues (C/C++/Python) to support investigation, even if you are not a full-time developer.

• Excellent communication, documentation and synthesis skills in English; comfortable working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

💡 Bonus skills

• Prior experience in aerospace, defence or safety-critical domains.

• Familiarity with requirement management tools and traceability techniques.

• Knowledge of ECSS, ISO or other aerospace quality standards.

• Basic experience with CI/CD and automation tools (GitLab CI, test frameworks), enough to interact efficiently with DevOps & software teams.
