Your Mission We are opening a Head of Engineering position to structure and lead the entire technical team — hardware, embedded software, and production. You will be the internal technical authority, the bridge between R&D and industrialization, and the driving force behind team dynamics. In this position, you will be in contact with all SpaceLocker's technical teams to: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team (hardware, electronics, embedded software, mechanics), while maintaining high standards and a strong collective dynamic Act as the team’s technical reference , arbitrating key choices related to architecture, materials, components and processes Drive the scale-up of SpaceLocker’s production and industrialization capabilities Ensure and maintain the team’s rigor across specification, design and AIV activities Own the engineering product roadmap in close collaboration with the CTO Structure product line management with an end-to-end system vision Lead HR reviews, performance assessments and technical recruiting within the engineering team Help unblock critical technical issues to maintain the team’s execution speed and delivery momentum The plus sides: You will work on multiple missions and projects simultaneously , each at a different level of maturity – from R&D to in-orbit operations , including AIT and systems engineering – and often with extremely short timelines from paper to orbit You will join a fast-moving company and play a key role in shaping its growth and its contribution to innovative aerospace solutions You will have the opportunity to work at the heart of the space ecosystem , interacting with payload and platform manufacturers, operators and institutions , and contributing to some of the most advanced technologies in the industry For this opportunity, compensation package is 60 to 80k€ before tax, with an additional 10% performance bonus. 5 week paid vacation, hybrid remote work. Hard skills: about 10 years of experience in space or avionics engineering, with a broad technical view and/or strong industrial focus (systems architect, C-D phases, AIT), Proven experience managing a technical team in the space or aerospace sector, Broad culture of both space hardware (electronics & mechanics, prototyping & qualification) and embedded software, and technical skills about space-specific issues, Ideally : product line management experience at a prime or a New Space player Fluent English, basic French is a bonus Soft skills: Natural leadership, able to bring energy and momentum to a team Autonomous and accountable Rigorous, able to bring structure without adding bureaucracy Strong communicator, comfortable in an international environment About the Company SpaceLocker aims to make satellite missions more efficient and sustainable.
