About the role

Reporting to the Head of Aerodynamics and part of the Engineering team, you will be in charge of developing, optimizing and characterizing aerodynamics performance and behavior of our aircraft, and the methodology associated.

Your mission is essential to ensure that the aerodynamics performance and behavior of our aircraft reach the expected targets and that our process is optimized and reliable in order to ensure the certification.

Valuable member of the team your role will be :

• Develop, modify and evaluate aerodynamic shapes in order to improve aerodynamic performance,
• Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to analyze, predict and refine flow behavior and aerodynamic performance,
• Propose, implement and evaluate process and method modification in order to improve efficiency and reliability of the obtained results,
• Design, supervise and analyze wind tunnel/flight tests to validate simulation results and optimize aircraft design,
• Analyze numerical and experimental data and their correlation to ensure accuracy and reliability of the aerodynamic results and guide methods improvements,
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical guidance and expertise to develop aerodynamic models, integrate aerodynamic solutions and optimize the aircraft design;
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.

 

About you

• You have a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Aerodynamic and intensive experience in aerodynamic design in Aerospace.
• You want to work on technical topics, agile to work on all the activities spectrum on the aerodynamic development of an aircraft up to the certification phase, including numerical and experimental deliveries.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in aerodynamic design and fluid mechanics, studying external and internal flows, in an aerospace context, including a deep understanding of drag and lift optimization.
• You are interested in CAD modification for aerodynamic design.
• You are proficient in 3DExperience (or Catia) and STAR-CCM+ and in programming languages (e.g., Python, Javascript) for data analysis and CFD automation.
• You are autonomous, curious, and a good team player
• You are able to challenge existing process and your management in a spirit of continuous improvement
• You have an experience in a multi-cultural environment and understand international diversity
