The Position

Your role:
You are an experienced stress engineer with an aerospace background, skilled in design, structural analysis, and simulation of composite and metallic structures.
You have applied FEM simulation and have experience in testing and documenting structural tests of components and full-scale assemblies.
You will develop and refine the aircraft's composite structures to ensure top-tier performance within a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities

1. Perform detailed sizing, static, dynamic, damage tolerance, and modal analysis of aircraft structural components using classical and finite element methods.
2. Develop structural models for stress analysis and sizing to support trade studies and manufacturing optimization.
3. Review composite design, structural layouts, and detail designs, including joint layouts and parts, using metallic and composite materials.
4. Conduct design trades and optimizations considering safety, strength, weight, and producibility.
5. Support design reviews, sign off on structural parts, and review stress reports.
6. Define and document load cases, certification test plans, and results to meet regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates:

• Hold a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree with over 12 years of experience in structural analysis and FEA of composite and metal structures.
• Proficient in finite element analysis, including nonlinear static and dynamic analysis.
• Capable of generating and reviewing detailed analysis reports and certification documents.
• Experienced in structural testing, standards, planning, and correlation.
• Familiar with high-performance composite manufacturing processes.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
