As part of Semtech Corporation (NASDAQ: SMTC) — headquartered in Camarillo, California with 31 offices across 14 countries — you will have the reach of a global technology leader alongside the autonomy to make real architectural decisions. **Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced and technically ambitious Senior Staff Engineer, Full-Stack and Operations to join our Toulouse team. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor across the full lifecycle of our Cloud Platform — from solution design and hands-on development through to live operations and on-call support. Your focus will lean towards the backend: account management systems, back-office tooling, and the operational reliability of the services our customers rely on. Working closely with Product Management and fellow Engineering teams, you will bring both the depth to tackle complex technical challenges and the breadth to see how your work fits the bigger picture. This is a role for an engineer who takes pride in building things properly — and who wants to own what they ship. **Responsibilities** * Contributing significantly to application solution design and to the high-level architecture of Cloud Platform software. * Working on detailed design, coding, and testing — delivering robust application software alongside comprehensive automated test coverage. * Planning Cloud Platform development projects within a team environment: creating and managing tasks in the engineering task management system, recording time accurately, and tracking completion against commitments. * Supporting the Cloud Platform through proactive troubleshooting, defect resolution, operational improvements, and minor enhancements. * Documenting application design clearly and thoroughly within the collaboration documentation system. * Supporting live operations of the Cloud Platform as part of the on-call rotation. **Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. * At least 7 years of experience in application software development. * At least 5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS. **Desired Qualifications** * Master's degree in a technical discipline. * 10+ years of application software development experience. * Experience developing and operating microservices in a cloud environment, ideally on AWS and Kubernetes. * Familiarity with Java-based development. * Experience working in continuous delivery, agile environments with a strong culture of automated testing. **Why Join Us?** * Work on Cloud Platform infrastructure that directly connects Semtech's IoT devices to global end-users — your code matters at scale. * Join a collaborative engineering team in Toulouse where senior engineers have genuine influence over architecture and technical direction. * Take full ownership of what you build, from initial design through to production operations. * Be part of a global organisation that combines the resources of a NASDAQ-listed technology company with the culture of a focused engineering team. * Access a competitive compensation package underpinned by Semtech's pay-for-performance philosophy. **Career Growth Philosophy** At Semtech, we seek innovation and leadership from every member of our team.
