The Technology Consulting business line is the technology and operations' arm of the Novaspace group. Novaspace Technology has developed expertise and know-how around a portfolio of services and capabilities covering the complete lifecycle of a space project, from feasibility studies and project development to operations and training support.

We are looking for motivated consultant satcom engineers to support different consulting missions: technical studies (e.g. State of the art or innovation analysis), feasibility analysis (comparison of several high level designs) and procurement (RFP & comparative analysis of industrial proposals) of different satcom systems (LEO, MEO & GEO).

Who we are looking for

• You have a good technical knowledge of at least one of the topics mentioned above.
• You like to learn and improve quickly on technical concepts and actors to grasp the technological and application challenges.
• You have a real team spirit, and you are rigorous.
• You can summarize information from a complex report to a short presentation or produce a single intelligible content from multiple sources.
• You are proficient in writing reports and presentations with a high level of quality.
• You are a good communicator, able to present content with ease in front of an audience.
• You are well organized, with a good level of autonomy to perform your tasks in cooperation with your leader (using collaborative and simple project management tools).

Primary role and responsibilities

• Support (and eventually lead) the missions above mentioned which can include data collection and analysis, technical surveys of upcoming technologies and standards, support to system design analysis and generation of technical reports and presentations in accordance with project requirements.
• Contribute to (and eventually lead) the management of engineering studies (development of the technical and project management documents, determination of the necessary resources, communication with stakeholders, management of contracts). Ensure that they meet technical, programmatic, quality and cost objectives.
• Participate in writing consulting proposals or technical reports.

Desired skills & experience

• MSc in space engineering with a major preferably in telecommunications (incl. software development will be a plus).
• 3 to 5 years of experience within the space sector preferably in satcom but could be EO or other.
• Satellite communications expertise including satellite link budget analysis , and or development of payload architecture is an asset,
• In addition to strong technical capabilities, you have good presentation and interpersonal skills (soft skills) as the position requires daily collaboration with other Novaspace engineers and international customers.
• Ability to travel, as you will be able to work at our clients' sites or operations anywhere in the world: Europe, Middle East, Asia, the Americas, etc
• Fluent in English
• EU citizen or permanent EU residence/work permit
