About the Role

Reporting directly to the Group's General Management and based at the Group's headquarters, you will be responsible for building, from the ground up, the Group's Procurement function — a function that does not yet exist in a centralized form today.

This is a genuine build project, not the takeover of an existing organization: laying the strategic and organizational foundations, rolling out tools and processes, and progressively bringing together a network of buyers across the Group's subsidiaries and divisions.

In the initial phase, the role does not involve direct management of a team. The priority will be to build the function, establish your credibility with the subsidiaries, and demonstrate the value of a centralized procurement policy, before considering, in time, the build-out of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Define and roll out the Group's procurement strategy in line with the Group's objectives and growth plan.
• Build, from scratch, an efficient and collaborative international procurement function, working with the people already in place locally in each subsidiary/country.
• Identify, assess, and negotiate with key suppliers worldwide, in particular through international framework agreements.
• Secure supply chains and optimize costs.
• Deploy a responsible and sustainable purchasing policy.
• Monitor performance (KPIs, costs, compliance) and manage regulatory and supply chain risks.
• Accelerate the digital transformation of the procurement function (e-procurement, data analytics, AI).
• Lead, in a cross-functional capacity — without direct line management at first — a network of buyers across the Group's entities.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, business, procurement, or supply chain management.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years' experience in international purchasing, ideally in a demanding industrial environment (medical, high-tech, aerospace, etc.).
• Fluent English required; proficiency in another language is a plus.
• Proven leadership, strategic vision, and strong negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build a function or organization from scratch, in an international, multicultural context — a builder's profile more than that of a manager inheriting an already-established team.
• Autonomous, organized, results-driven, with a genuine passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
