We are currently looking for a highly experienced Technical Solutions Manager (TSM) with a strong Airbus A380 background, extensive aircraft systems expertise across all ATA chapters, and proven experience within a Maintenance Control Center (MCC) environment. The successful candidate will provide advanced troubleshooting support for the Airbus A380 fleet and play a key role in resolving complex operational and technical issues.

The position is based in Toulouse (France), with availability for long-term assignment in Sydney (Australia), supporting Qantas operational activities and coordinating technical actions affecting aircraft operations. The role is embedded within a highly dynamic airline environment, requiring close interaction with Airbus, Qantas Engineering, Maintenance Control Center (MCC) teams, Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS), and Airbus Consulting specialists.

Job Description

As a Technical Solution Manager (TSM), your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the Airbus technical focal point for aircraft troubleshooting activities.
• Supporting operational and technical investigations affecting Airbus A380 fleet availability and performance.
• Leading troubleshooting activities in collaboration with Airbus experts, Qantas Engineering teams, MCC personnel, and FHS specialists .
• Participating in the daily operational coordination meeting with Qantas teams at 08:00 AM.
• Analysing operational events, technical reports, aircraft status, and maintenance constraints throughout the day.
• Performing advanced fault isolation and technical investigations across all ATA chapters.
• Conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans.
• Preparing and delivering daily technical work packages.
• Supporting Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations and other critical operational events requiring rapid decision-making.
• Coordinating with engineering, maintenance, airline operational teams, and Airbus technical organizations to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Monitoring implementation of corrective actions and supporting aircraft recovery activities.
• Ensuring effective communication between Airbus, Qantas, FHS teams, and maintenance personnel supporting operations.
• Providing structured technical reporting and recommendations to support operational decision-making.

Profile

We are looking for professionals with:

• Strong Airbus A380 systems knowledge and proven experience in aircraft troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis within airline operational environments.
• Experience working in Maintenance Control Center (MCC) , line maintenance, technical support, or similar operational roles.
• Extensive systems knowledge across all ATA chapters , including advanced troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Airbus operational support processes and digital tools such as Skywise and Flight Hour Services (FHS) .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.
• Customer-oriented mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while working autonomously.
• B1 or B2 aircraft maintenance background.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Job Requirements

• The position is based in Toulouse (France), availability for long-term assignment in Sydney (Australia).
• Availability to participate in the on-site onboarding and handover period during December.
