Mission / Profile

You'll be joining one of our teams as a specialist network consultant, where you'll work on projects to integrate communication solutions infrastructure. These environments are highly innovative in nature, and you'll constantly need to apply your knowledge to new issues and ensure that your contributions are playing a role in the success of the project.

To do so, you will be responsible for:

• Providing in-service support for infrastructures: datacentres (routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, etc.), new platform connections, WAN junctions, etc.
• Assisting in the management of various RUN or BUILD projects, and providing them with support
• Monitoring technology developments and recommending solutions to help upgrade infrastructures
• Implementing and improving infrastructure operating processes with the involvement of various different teams
• Offering first-rate expertise, monitoring technology developments and providing L3 support to the other teams.

Skills (pre-existing or to be acquired)

Yikes! Quite a few of these, but nothing to faze an engineer who learns quickly and has a thirst for knowledge:

• IPANEMA, JUNIPER, FORTINET, CISCO, VPN, AWS, NOKIA, OSI, TOIP
• Wifi, DNS, DHCP, load balancing
• Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu, Debian or Mint)
• IS architecture - how an application's operating chain works (Web servers, DB, DNS, AD, etc.)

Telecommunications industry

Telecommunications are a key part of Davidson's history. From equipment suppliers to operators and users, since the company's inception we've been working with those who devise, roll out and run fixed and mobile communications networks all around the globe. Founded during the 3G period, Davidson saw the first rollouts of 4G/LTE, convergence via IMS, the emergence of the Internet of Things, the popularisation of fibre optics, the introduction of SDNs, etc.

Davidson is now one of the leading telecoms consulting providers in France and Europe, supported by its experts and project managers drawing on a wealth of internal resources: a training institute (5G, IoT, PMP, FTTx, virtualisation, etc.), rooms dedicated to ideation and meetups (Singular), an R&D department (leading multiple partnerships and financing arrangements, including INRIA, Telecom SudParis, ESEO/ENSTA Bretagne and Eurecom) and a unit for monitoring normalization/standardization (responsible for the publication of "5G networks", éditions Eyrolles).

This enables us to work on assessment assignments and project management in technical assistance, service centres and packages with an outcome obligation.
