If you're looking for a role that combines backend development , satellites , and space infrastructure , you've knocked on the right door.

We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our Software team and help build the foundation of our space infrastructure. You'll develop systems that automate and streamline hardware and software integration testing, mission operations, and ensure our satellites are always ready to fly. Your work will be critical to scaling our platform and making space more accessible for our customers.

About this Role:

• Collaborate with the Product Engineering, Flight Systems, Space Operations, and AIT teams to design features that automate hardware testing and software integration.
• Build systems to validate mission requirements and ensure full coverage with a "test as you fly" approach.
• Work on both in-orbit missions and upcoming launches - helping solve real-time issues and supporting operational success.
• Contribute to building modern, automated space infrastructure where software plays a central role.
• Help abstract the complexity of space operations and accelerate our customers' journey to orbit.

Must Haves:

• Strong experience with object-oriented languages, ideally Python.
• Proficiency with Docker and container-based development
• Knowledge of API design best practices
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Travis CI, etc.)
• Experience with backend web development frameworks
• A curious mindset and a natural problem-solver

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes.
• Exposure to scaling mission-critical, distributed or real-time systems.
• Interest in the space industry and operations.
