Based in Montreal and Toulouse, Connektica designs and develops SaaS software solutions dedicated to the space manufacturing industry. As part of our growth, we are looking for an IT Administrator Apprentice to strengthen our internal IT team. ROLE Reporting to IT Management, you will work at the heart of internal IT across a broad scope: user fleet, security, cloud, and automation. More than a support role, we are looking for someone who takes initiative, identifies repetitive tasks, and proposes solutions to automate them. RESPONSIBILITIES IT Fleet Management: Deployment, configuration, and updates of user workstations; patching and security hardening; hardware lifecycle management Security & Compliance: Daily monitoring of EDR alerts, handling cybersecurity compliance tasks, applying best practices (MFA, encryption, least privilege) Network & Access: VPN administration, managing flow permissions and access provisioning for offices and environments (dev, staging, prod); regular access reviews Onboarding/Offboarding: Preparing and automating arrivals and departures (accounts, hardware, access) with a goal of zero manual intervention Inventory & Logistics: Managing IT stock (screens, phones, YubiKeys, badges, peripherals), tracking assignments and anticipating needs User Support: Handling requests, writing technical documentation, and providing self-service procedures Automation & Continuous Improvement: Identifying repetitive tasks, implementing scripts/workflows to automate them, documenting deployed solutions REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Student pursuing a work-study program (BTS/Bachelor's degree) in computer science, systems and networks, cybersecurity, or equivalent Languages: Fluent French; technical English a plus TECHNICAL SKILLS Solid foundations in system administration (macOS, Linux) Understanding of network concepts (VPN, DNS, firewall) Familiarity with a cloud environment (ideally AWS, OVH Cloud) Knowledge of IT security: MFA, encryption, identity management Strong interest in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell) Familiarity with security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) is a real asset DESIRED QUALITIES AND APTITUDES Autonomy : You can move forward without hand-holding, you look for answers before asking, you report on what you're doing Initiative : When facing a repetitive manual task, your first instinct is “how can I automate this” Rigor : Especially on security and compliance topics, where rigor is non-negotiable Service mindset : You can guide non-technical users with patience and kindness WHAT WE OFFER Contract : Work-study (apprenticeship or professional training contract) Duration : 1 or 2 years Schedule : [e.g. 3 days company / 2 days school] Location : Toulouse, partial remote work possible Start date : September 2026 Compensation : As per legal work-study pay scale CONTACT Interested in this position?
