Senior Software Architect (Motion Team)

Seniority & Profile:

• 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Ability to build an efficient software architecture and mastery of C++
• Advanced fundamental knowledge related to robotics, ideally in solver/optimization & math-heavy topics (including finance), and edge computing contexts with limited CPU resources are also pertinent.
• Mastery of multi-threading & real-time programming.
• Master's/Engineering degree or PhD.

As the Software Architect of the Motion team, you will lead the software engineers while the motion leads guide the robotic specialists.
Specifically, the software engineers of the Motion team work on:

• The frameworks & advanced libraries we develop as our back-end to easily create & solve optimization problems at runtime (formulating control problems), integrating simulation & visualization tools.
• All elements of the control stack alongside the robotic specialists, ensuring a clean, maintainable, and real-time implementation, based on existing software and concepts developed on paper.

This position is hands-on and involves tackling the most complex software challenges the Motion team faces, as well as designing the core software vision of the team, expressed by the architecture the whole team follows when creating features.
Unlocking all of Aru's behaviors requires interactions between a large quantity of concepts.
